Tanzie Camille McCarty Brown Annual Scholarship

Candidates must be full-time students in the College of Education, who have been accepted to the special education program by their junior year and who are residents of Mississippi. Candidates must have a minimum 3.75 GPA (on a 4.0 scale), provide a written philosophy, and two letters of recommendation. Preference will be given to students who are first-generation college students, who have demonstrated financial need, participate in Trio programs or equivalent programs for low-income/first-generation student success and support (like the MSU Promise Program), or have indicated a desire to teach in the poorest and most critical needs areas of Mississippi.
