Alex Herbst Memorial Scholarship

Candidates must be juniors, seniors, or graduate students majoring in Geosciences with a concentration in Broadcast Meteorology with a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale). Candidates must be a member of the National Weather Association or the American Meteorological Society. Candidates must submit at least one letter of recommendation from a member of the industry or professor, as well as submit an essay about their long-term career goals and the legacy they hope to leave at Mississippi State University. Preference shall be given to out-of-state students.
