James Patterson Teacher Education Scholarship
Candidates for the James Patterson Teacher Education Scholarship must be entering freshmen enrolled in the College of Education with a minimum 3.0 high school GPA and 24 ACT score. Candidates also must have expressed an interest in pursing a career as an elementary school teacher, preferably in the English language arts before other teaching areas are considered. Preference shall be given to students with demonstrated financial need, or to students who are residents of Mississippi.
