Richard C. Adkerson

Richard Adkerson is a 1969 accounting graduate and a 1970 masters of business administration graduate of Mississippi State University. He graduated with the highest of honors and continues to receive honors at MSU. He received an honorary Doctorate of Science in 2010, College of Business Alumnus of the Year in 1991, and the Alumnus of the Year in 2011. He enjoys giving back to his alma mater. Richard currently serves as Vice Chairman, President and CEO of Freeport-McMoRan Inc., one of the world’s largest publicly traded copper producers.
