Margaret Womble

Margaret Stennis Womble is the daughter of the late Senator and Mrs. John C. Stennis. She came home to Mississippi in 1996 and lives with joy in the DeKalb home where she was raised.

Gratefully aware of the many contributions which made possible MSU Stennis Scholarships and a Professorship bearing her father’s name, she realized that the Home Economics Scholarship in memory of her mother was less well known and therefore less well funded. Accordingly, she has been giving to the Coy Stennis Memorial Scholarship Fund through the years.

She considers it a privilege to give to Mississippi State University, where her parents first met on campus so many years ago!
